From Kediri in East Java comes Devastrosity, a brutal death metal trio with roots deep in Indonesia’s fertile extreme metal underground. Formed by three musicians seasoned in their local scene, the band first introduced themselves with the “Human Depravation” demo in 2024. Now, through Comatose Music, they are presenting their first full-length album, “Eviscerating Desolation” — a slab of uncompromising brutality clocking in at just over thirty minutes.
The album
opens with “Human Depravation,” a sinister introduction that quickly plunges
into relentless violence. Across its nine tracks, Devastrosity
unleash chaotic drumming, guttural roars, and dense guitar work, all
delivered with an intensity that leaves no room to breathe. The sound is dense
yet structured, allowing every strike of the instruments to cut through without
losing the sheer weight of the performance.
Songs like “Morbid Desires” and “The Dealer Of Death” capture the band’s vision of extremity in full force, with riffs that hit like blunt weapons and grooves that dig deep into primal aggression. “Parasitic Epidemic” pushes further into dissonance and warped rhythmic turns, making it one of the most unhinged tracks on the album. Closer “Cadaveric Feast” is the album’s final descent into carnage, dragging the listener through a grotesque landscape of violence until the last second.
“Eviscerating Desolation” is brutal death metal crafted with full commitment to intensity and horror. It is music designed for chaos in the pit, dripping with gore-soaked imagery and delivered with unflinching precision.
