Sidebürns formed in
Weimar, Germany in 2002. Over two decades, the trio played over 200 gigs,
crashing stages at Party San Open Air and opening for Supersuckers,
Thundermother, and V8wankers.
Their 2019 album "Too Loud!" caught international attention across
print magazines and radio stations. Now they return with the independent
release of "Beer Füeled Bastard".
The music runs on high-octane fuel.
Ralf Sideburn delivers raspy vocals and loud guitar distortion. Katja Baroness on bass and Ronny
G. Hämmer on drums keep the rhythm extremely fast. The production is
completely rough around the edges. Tracks like "All In" and "Not
What Used To Be" feature the band tearing through the speakers with zero
hesitation.
The overall sound is a high-speed
collision of heavy metal riffing and basement punk. "Hit The Ground"
and "Whiskey Driven Beer Fueled Bastard" speed down the highway
aggressively. The tempo rarely shifts at all. A little variety in the song
structures would improve the final grade. The constant fast pace causes some
parts to blur together into one continuous noise.
Even with the similar speeds across
the songs, Sidebürns delivers a fast and dirty
collection of tunes for the underground crowd. "Beer Füeled Bastard"
provides pure distorted guitars and screaming vocals. The upcoming April 2026
club tour will definitely feature these tracks prominently. These anthems are
strictly meant for small sweaty rooms filled with headbangers.

Nepal
Animality erupted
from Nepal in 2017. They dropped their debut EP, "Animality
Inherent", in 2018, establishing their primal extreme metal foundation.
The trio pulls elements from death metal, grindcore, and thrash metal to
translate the daily grind and unspoken societal horrors into an aggressive
audio assault. Extreme music serves as their main outlet for throwing the harsh
realities of everyday existence right back at the world.
"Third World Brutality"
captures a specific era of hostility and frustration. The songs were forged
several years ago and put to tape three years before seeing the light of day.
The lyrics attack the normalization of societal violence, exposing an endless
loop of misery. The words tear into war, mounting debt, systemic corruption, cultural
pressure, and economic warfare, focusing entirely on how these forces destroy
human autonomy and value across the Global South.
The music attacks with relentless,
raw aggression. Darshan Angdembe Limbu unleashes
ripping guitar riffs alongside vicious vocal roars, backed by a punishing
rhythm section. Season Bajracharya pummels the
bass lines, matching the destructive drumming of Suraj
Nakarmi. Guest vocalist Omar Raja adds
extra hostility across most of the album. The production from Audio Ecstasy Studio keeps the sound filthy and raw,
giving the songs a genuinely savage and abrasive edge. Tracks like
"Innocence Murdered" and "Global Arrogance" deliver
straight-up auditory violence.
Animality delivers a
hostile, furious album full of hatred for the modern world. The music stays
fast, violent, and uncompromisingly angry. The band channels absolute disgust
into their instruments, making "Third World Brutality" a seriously
destructive listen for extreme metal maniacs. They strip away the bullshit and
blast through the speakers with total hostility.

Boston,
Massachusetts post-metal trio Lesotho consists
of guitarist Kyle Loffredo, bassist Cliff Cazeau, and drummer Dan
DeLucia. They are gearing up to drop their third full-length album,
"A Flashing On Plain Glass", following their 2023 release
"Through The Dying Light". They tracked and mixed the new material at
The Bridge Sound & Stage Music with Alex Allinson and handled mastering duties with Carl Saff at Saff Mastering.
Thibault Landemaine handled the artwork.
Lesotho operates
entirely on massive riffs and crushing rhythm sections. The five songs on
"A Flashing On Plain Glass" deliver shifting movements of
skull-crushing music. The sounds shift constantly, moving from emotional guitar
melodies to gigantic walls of distortion. Loffredo
rips towering guitar lines that crash into the thunderous, pounding drumming of
DeLucia. Cazeau
locks down the low end with a thick bass tone. The thirty-minute runtime
presents a continuous wave of heavy volume.
You get a straight dose of heavy
Boston metal. The guitars build up slowly and erupt into total sonic
destruction. They plug straight into heavy fuzz pedals and massive amps to make
a huge racket. The drumming is aggressive and punishing. Songs smash through
the speakers with raw, untamed energy. The music paints a picture of a world
falling apart and constantly changing.
The music drifts too long in certain
sections. A few riffs drag out without much progression. The band loops the
slower passages repeatedly before getting to the heavy climax. The
thirty-minute runtime keeps these looping sections relatively short. "A
Flashing On Plain Glass" delivers enough heavy moments to satisfy a metalhead
looking for loud amps and maximum distortion.

Redwood is the brainchild of Sheafer McComber,
a Northern California native who has been churning out heavy psych and stoner
riffs with a relentless work ethic. Following the momentum of the 2025 release
"Cloud Colony", Redwood didn't waste any time getting back into the
studio to cook up more cosmic noise. This project has always been about that
intersection where the desert sun meets the deep reaches of space, blending a
massive low-end with enough fuzz to coat a mountain.
Look, if you want something to
vibrate the loose screws in your skull, "Time To Lose" delivers
exactly that. It's a trip through the Northern California redwoods and straight
out of the atmosphere. The riffs are thick and hairy, sitting right in that
sweet spot between a slow-motion avalanche and a fever dream. The production
isn't some over-sanitized plastic garbage; it sounds like a real amp being
pushed to the edge of a total meltdown, which is how this music should be
played.
There are some legit surprises on
this one that’ll catch you off guard. "Highway Is My Way" is a total
bruiser, switching up the vocal delivery to something much meaner than what we
usually hear from Redwood. It’s got a jagged,
aggressive edge that provides a nice kick to the ribs. On the other side of the
coin, "Titan" leans hard into the synth pedals. It creates this
floating, hallucinatory vibe that makes you feel like you're drifting through a
nebula before the final hammer drops.
The massive finale "Blue
Mass" is where everything culminates into a massive, 11-minute journey.
It’s a huge, expansive track that demands your attention, pulling together all
the fuzzy textures and cosmic energy McComber
has been building. This album shows a lot of growth without losing the
heavy-as-lead foundation. It’s a strong addition to the collection for anyone
who lives for the riff.

Sinistrous
Mist took shape
in July 2022 when Panos Makridis ignited the
spark for a majestic black metal entity. Dimitris Kanellopoulos
and Lefteris Evmorfopoulos immediately stepped
in on drums and bass, cementing the initial core of the band. The lineup
expanded in March 2023, bringing George Kalos on
vocals to supply the necessary harsh delivery. George
Bampaniotis finalized the roster on guitars a couple of months later,
laying down all the guitars for the debut album before his departure in
February 2026. Now, "A Voice Through Constellations" emerges
independently to crush the masses.
The
sonic assault on "A Voice Through Constellations" delivers pure,
freezing malevolence. Sinistrous Mist unleashed
an archaic storm of tremolo picking and blast beats colliding directly with
sinister keyboard melodies. The riffs tear through the mix like rusty chainsaws,
complementing the agonizing shrieks roaring across tracks like "The Flag
Of The Inverted Cross" and "Divine Black". They constructed an
atmosphere of total darkness, stacking haunting synths over furious rhythmic
battery. The production keeps things raw and hostile, preserving the organic
filth required for this brand of sonic destruction.
Songs like "Mother Mary" and "Purification Of Holy
Light" rage with infernal speed and towering symphonic elements. P. Makridis layers his majestic keys expertly, creating
a colossal, nightmare-inducing backdrop for the relentless drumming and
punishing bass lines. G. Kalos spits sheer
hatred into the microphone, dominating the chaos swirling around him. The
guitars constantly shred through the frostbitten soundscape, delivering savage
passages and morbid harmonies. Everything locks together into a freezing
blizzard of authentic black metal hostility.
We absolutely need to give our support behind bands detonating from
the deepest trenches of the underground metal scene. Independent acts like Sinistrous Mist fund their own chaos, bleed for their
art, and keep the scene completely devoid of corporate interference. Paying for
physical copies, sharing the music, and attending underground gigs act as the
lifeblood for this extreme culture. The musicianship is lethal, and the
execution is completely merciless. "A Voice Through Constellations"
demands your complete attention and delivers pure, pure auditory violence.

Kyote
Radio comes from
the deep deserts of New Mexico, originally taking shape in Austin back in 2013.
Fronted by Micah Paredes on vocals and electric
guitar, the group pulls in musicians like Nick Smith,
Wesley Riddle, Russ
Connell, Nick Blossom, and Ray Heilman to generate massive riffs and loud rhythm
sections. They released their debut EP "Mouth Of The Cave" in 2018
and followed up with their first full-length "Real Crime" in 2021.
Now operating out of Taos, they are returning with their second full-length
album, "Habitats".
"Habitats" mixes desert
rock, doom metal, and heavy psych, throwing in some modern indie rock elements
along the way. The guitars get loud, and the bass rumbles hard on songs like
"The Crown", featuring Kyle Shutt from
The Sword. You get fuzzy solos and a thundering
rhythm section driving the songs forward. It is a straightforward trip into
desert rock territory, giving fans of the style plenty of fuzzed-out noise to
absorb.
Honestly, an album like this leaves
me a bit indifferent because the genre simply does not move me much. The
collision of stoner rock with indie textures on tracks like "Between The
Oceans" and "Shamans" is adequate, and the playing gets the job
done. The fuzz pedals get a serious workout, and the vocals deliver what the
music requires. The overall execution just rolls by my ears without really
hooking me in or making me want to hit replay immediately.
The production handled by Frenchie Smith and Micah
Paredes keeps the instruments loud and present. "Panorama" and
"Fossilized" keep the desert rock flag flying high. As a metalhead
looking for extreme aggression, this dusty garage rock sound is too laid back
for my daily rotation. It works fine for background noise while driving down a
hot highway, assuming you are super into this specific hybrid of sounds.
Otherwise, it just exists as an average addition to their catalog.

Unchosen
Ones hail from
Vigo, Galicia, Spain. They dropped their debut, "Sorrow Turns To
Dust", three years ago. Now they return with "Divine Power
Flowing", their second full-length output. The Spanish quintet operates
purely within the heavy and power metal spectrum, throwing down fast riffs and
massive melodies.
The music goes straight for that
classic nineties power metal approach. Think of bands like Firewind, Orden Ogan, Nocturnal Rites, and Kamelot.
Unchosen Ones deliver fast riffing, loud drums,
and big melodic vocal lines. They focus entirely on huge choruses and
fast-paced twin guitar attacks. A track like "Idols And Kings"
delivers a blistering pace, and the entire album relies on this specific
melodic formula right up to the closing moments of "Death And
Deliverance". The execution is highly competent. They shred the required
notes, sweep through the solos, and bash out the double-bass drumming. It is a
very standard affair, offering the precise elements headbangers demand from the
genre.
Lyrically, the album tackles
internal struggles, sadness, and personal growth. They also integrate heavy
references to classic video games and manga. "Caught By The Wind"
takes inspiration from Castlevania,
"Whirligig Saw" channels Bloodborne,
and the title track "Divine Power Flowing" draws from Fist Of The North Star. The production, handled at SMHQ Studios and JFT
Producciones by José Fernando Tercero,
provides a loud, booming sonic assault. The guitars slash through the mix, and
the drums are incredibly prominent. The hand-drawn artwork by Abigail González adds an awesome traditional touch to
the visual presentation.
This is a highly energetic heavy
metal album. Unchosen Ones supply the goods for
traditional power metal maniacs. The songs are catchy. The musicianship is
totally pro. Sometimes the reliance on typical genre tropes makes the material
predictable. It is a totally worthy spin for diehards of this specific sound,
offering plenty of headbanging moments. You get fast metal, epic choruses, and
nerdy lyrics.

Parallel
Minds operates
out of France as a modern progressive metal force. They smash thrash mechanics
together with progressive structures and massive power metal scale. Following
three previous albums released through established labels, the band operates as
a serious fixture in the European scene. Their fourth album, "Cairn",
arrives as a 61-minute concept release dealing entirely with suffering, memory,
and human survival across history.
The riffs strike with absolute
hostility. The guys fuse the aggression of thrash legends Nevermore and Testament
with the brain-twisting math of Symphony X and Pain Of Salvation. Greg
Giraudo rips tearing guitar lines through the mix, backed entirely by Eric Mannella battering the drum kit. Steph Fradet howls and soars over the chaos. They
throw shifting time signatures and punishing thrash rhythms at you constantly.
It results in a highly destructive auditory assault.
"Cairn" acts as a monument
to historical tragedy. The lyrics explore brutal events ranging from the Bhopal
disaster and the Trail of Tears to the Northern Ireland conflict. Parallel Minds brought in numerous guest musicians to
deliver authentic regional textures. Listeners encounter Togolese artists on
"Orishas", a sitar on "Bhopal", and Native American chants
on "Trails Of Tears". These elements provide massive cultural variety
to the crushing metal foundation.
A 61-minute runtime requires serious
listener endurance. The constant lyrical darkness demands total attention, and
the massive volume of musical ideas takes multiple spins to fully digest. The
integration of world music into a thrash framework succeeds entirely. Parallel Minds delivers a massive, ambitious project,
executing their vision with maximum aggression and precision.

Mývalyĭr formed out
of the isolation of the global lockdowns. Isolated musicians traded riffs and
concepts until the lineup solidified into a real war machine in 2023. Fast
forward to now, and they drop "The Past Tales" on the underground.
This album fuses classic melodic death metal hostility with deep folk and
orchestral layers. The addition of violin, cello, and nyckelharpa adds massive
depth to the traditional guitars and drums, giving the whole thing an ancient,
warlike atmosphere.
The lyrics tackle the concept of
eternal conflict, exploring the battles we fight inside our own heads and out
in the real world. Musically, Mývalyĭr matches
that heavy subject matter with absolute metallic fury. The classical
instruments run parallel to the heavy distortion. The band delivers raw
aggression mixed with severe folk sorrow. The drum barrage destroys everything
in its path, and the keys weave a dark, tragic atmosphere over the chaos.
"Recollection" throws you
straight into the fire. The percussion is a cataclysmic barrage, and the harsh
vocals sound completely bestial. The keyboards and steel-clad guitars lock
together in a fierce war. "Reign" brings a tragic, sorrow-filled
presence with a slower, pounding rhythm. The vocal delivery here is savage and
extremely effective. When "The Past Tales Part 1" kicks in, the epic
scale of the album hits its peak. Massive riffs, tragic female singing, and an
immense cinematic scope dominate the runtime. The follow-up, "The Past
Tales Part 2", continues the slaughter with intense violin sections
bringing total devastation. "The Mighty Never Fall" throws down a
fist-pumping, traditional death metal assault that absolutely rips.
Mývalyĭr built a
crushing debut here. The audio production rules. Janne
Lunnas handled the mix, giving the guitars and drums extreme power and
volume. Felipe Machado Franco provided the
killer artwork to wrap the entire package. "The Past Tales" is a
heavy, tragic, and savage ride. It delivers total melodic death metal
devastation.

Wazzara started
burning their path in 2015 as the solo project of Swiss singer and composer Barbara Brawand. After dropping the "Zessa"
EP in 2019, the lineup expanded. George Necola brought
his low-end rumbling and production skills to the fold in 2020. They gathered a
full live crew and spent the next few years spreading their chaotic, hypnotic
noise across stages. Now we get "Arbor", their fourth release and an
absolute collision of atmospheric black metal, crushing doom, and massive
blackgaze walls of sound. This release summons ancient forces, bringing out
untamed aggression masked in sheer beauty.
The musicianship on
"Arbor" rips through the speakers with serious hostility, fusing
absolute darkness with strange, ethereal beauty. We get heavy, dragging doom
riffs crashing into vast, echoing tremolo picking. Andrei
Jumuga sits behind the kit to provide a massive rhythmic foundation,
blasting through the fast sections and slowing down to a monstrous, agonizing
crawl when required. The guitar work from Tom Kuzmic
and Masi Stettler shreds out huge, melancholic
melodies that drift above the crushing rhythm section. The production job gives
the harsh elements plenty of teeth to rip your face off, ensuring the massive
soundscapes echo straight into the void.
Barbara’s vocal
delivery dictates the entire massacre, echoing like ancient spirits rising from
the dirt. She switches between haunting, spectral singing and absolutely
vicious shrieks, anchoring the extreme shifts happening in the music. Tracks
like "9 Confines" and "Nova" display this dynamic assault,
hitting you with pure aggression before pulling back into huge, sorrowful
valleys of sound. The band even dragged an older song, "Zessa
(Reborn)", into the studio to give it a massive overhaul, completely
thrashing the 2019 version and bringing it up to their current, devastating
standard.
This album delivers a serious, heavy
beating layered with beautiful, agonizing melancholy. The score reflects the
killer riffs and crushing atmospheres all over the place, even if a couple of
the transitions between the black metal blasting and the slow doom sections
drag on a fraction too long. It is a massive, bone-crushing release that truly
holds up under maximum volume. Wazzara forged an
alloy of sheer, untamed aggression and soaring melodies for extreme metal
maniacs who want their eardrums annihilated.

Stung operates
out of the Turnhout region in Belgium, bringing an intense mix of thrash,
hardcore and crossover. The four guys in the lineup are veterans of the extreme
metal scene, having spent years in bands like Leave
Scars, Meantime and Soultaker. They have previously destroyed stages at
major festivals including Wacken, Graspop and Metaldays.
Since forming, they have gigged heavily across local venues and festivals,
tearing up the stage next to Channel Zero, Kill The Logo and Bark.
They even recruited Joey Zampella from Life Of Agony to mix their previous singles
"Follow" and "C.O.C", securing serious professional backing
for their noise.
Now they drop
"Whispering", an independent release of pure aggression. The guitars
rip through the speakers with fast, aggressive riffing that owes a lot to
classic thrash metal speed and hardcore punk fury. The vocals are rough and
angry, shouting over relentless drum beats and rumbling bass lines. Stung plays music designed for the mosh pit, ignoring
modern trends in favor of loud, furious playing. The production delivers an
abrasive noise, making sure the guitars and drums punch right through the
speakers.
The songs on "Whispering"
deliver what a crossover thrash fan expects. Fast tempos keep the energy high
and the breakdowns are heavy enough to get heads banging violently. The band
executes their style well, driven by their years of experience in the
underground scene. Some riffs run into each other, and the songwriting formula
stays very rigid across the runtime. They stick to a specific lane of heavy
music, leading to a couple of predictable moments.
Those minor flaws aside,
"Whispering" provides a genuinely entertaining listening session for
anyone into aggressive metal. Stung brings real
anger to their music, relying on fast guitars and barking vocals to get their
point across. They deliver a reliable dose of extreme music, supported by heavy
touring and stage experience. It is a highly respectable release from a group
of Belgian metalheads who live for this style of music.

with raw punk aggression and a heavy dose of rock and roll swagger. After
dropping a demo in 2019, they started gigging relentlessly. They eventually
dropped their self-titled debut in 2022, securing slots at Maryland Deathfest and tearing up stages alongside
bands like Bat, Poison
Ruin, Midnight, and Sodom. The quintet bounces between massive festival
stages and packed dive bars, bringing pure musical violence wherever they go.
On their sophomore album, "Love
Overdrive", Total Maniac delivers pure
street metal aggression. The riffs cut straight to the bone, driving a lethal
mix of speed metal velocity and d-beat chaos. Tracks like "Love
Overdrive" and "Devil In Plain Sight" throw fists right in your
face. The guitars from Mike Brown and Nick Etson shred through the mix with savage
distortion, churning out infectious hooks. Vaughn
Volkman smashes the drum kit into splinters, propelling the fast
sections into maximum overdrive. It is a massive assault on the eardrums.
The vocal delivery from Diamond Dustin sneers and spits absolute hostility
across the entire runtime. He howls over the distortion, giving songs like
"Drinkin Our Way To Hell" and "Early Grave" an obnoxious,
riotous edge. Ben Martin handles the low end,
keeping the rhythm section thick and punishing. The production, handled by Kevin Bernsten, captures the feral energy of their
live performances. Brad Boatright locked down
the mastering, ensuring the final product will totally wreck your speakers. You
can practically smell the sweat and spilled alcohol blasting out of the
grooves.

thrash metal speed and dirty hard rock hooks. This is a violently fun album for
anyone who wants to bash their head against the wall and thrash around the
living room. It packs a serious punch and guarantees a riotous time whenever
