Inritvm | Ex Nihilo Ad Nihilum | EAL Productions

Release Date: October 3, 2025
Format: Digital/CD/Vinyl
Genre: Black Metal
Country: France

Formed by members deeply rooted in the French black metal underground, Inritvm is the product of long-standing experience and shared intent. The band brings together Syht and Akhaeus, joined by musicians from acts such as Haemoth, Bael, Antaeus, and Deviant, a band whose collective history reaches back to the ‘90s. “Ex Nihilo Ad Nihilum” represents their first full-length release, a work built over several years of exploration and reflection. The title translates as “From Nothing to Nothingness,” a fitting phrase for a band so immersed in the philosophical void that defines much of their artistic vision.

The album unfolds as a harsh and unrelenting descent into absence. Its sound is steeped in the rawness of traditional black metal, channeling that early French underground spirit while embracing a more abstract, noise-tinged chaos. The production is dry and stripped of gloss, reinforcing the sense of desolation the band cultivates. Each composition extends into long stretches of tension, collapsing and rising in unpredictable shapes, where guitars carve vast, frozen spaces and the vocals emerge like distant echoes from within the storm.

There’s a focus on atmosphere through repetition and gradual shifts, creating a sense of dissolution rather than progression. The percussion alternates between primitive aggression and mechanical precision, building an overwhelming wall of sound that gives no comfort. This is not music seeking balance, it drags the listener into an abyss where reason and structure dissolve.

“Ex Nihilo Ad Nihilum” captures a distinctly existential tone, using black metal as a medium for emptiness and decay. It’s an album meant to be endured rather than consumed, more a manifestation of negation than an expression of vitality. For those attuned to the darker traditions of the genre, especially the cold austerity of the French scene, it offers a convincing continuation of that lineage, without nostalgia or compromise. A grim and cerebral debut that honors the depth and ferocity of old black metal while pushing further into abstract, suffocating territories. “Ex Nihilo Ad Nihilum” stands as a deliberate descent into nothingness, rewarding listeners who seek black metal that confronts the void with unflinching restraint.

Destruction Ritual | Providence | EAL Productions

Release Date: September 12, 2025
Format: Digital, CD, LP
Genre: Black/Death Metal
Country: France/USA

From the birthplace of Lovecraft’s cosmic dread comes Destruction Ritual, a collaboration between French and American musicians who clearly share the same hunger for sonic punishment. The project was founded by MkM (Antaeus, ex-Aosoth), TerrorReign (Necroblood), and Arafel, joined by drummer Blastum, whose name has been synonymous with chaos for years. Their first full-length, “Providence”, is a descent into personal and spiritual corrosion told through six chapters of violent, ritualistic black metal.

The album moves like a feverish hallucination, each track built around savage riffs, piercing melodies, and sudden eruptions of intensity. There’s a strong sense of structure beneath the chaos. Violent surges are followed by moments of eerie restraint, while the constant pulse of the drums keeps everything anchored in aggression. MkM’s voice dominates the album with its caustic tone, spitting venom over layers of sound that are ritualistic and haunted. His delivery matches the theme perfectly, as if every line is a wound opening again.

The production keeps a raw character, suitable for the kind of black/death violence the band aims for. The guitars slash and drone, forming twisted melodic lines that pull the listener into a trance. Samples and soundscapes are used sparingly but effectively, giving the impression of an underground mass recorded in the ruins of an abandoned church. The tension between the psychotic melody and pure aggression makes “Providence” an unsettling listen, one that thrives on atmosphere without relying on gimmicks. As a debut, it leaves a strong impression. There’s a genuine sense of direction and purpose here, a balance between hostility and controlled ritual. Destruction Ritual has crafted an album that feels lived-in and cursed, soaked in the spiritual decay that the title manifests.

Der Märtyrer | Der Märtyrer | EAL Productions

Der Märtyrer is a collective with mysterious origins, formed through chaotic creation methods. According to the label, the project grew out of altered states, with music shaped by sleep deprivation, substance use, and an obsession with raw, dissonant intensity. The sound draws from extreme electronic, industrial, and black metal sources—especially bands like Mysticum, Blacklodge, Atari Teenage Riot, Antaeus, In Slaughter Natives, and The Prodigy. Over the years, four tracks were slowly built, torn apart, and reassembled through deep sonic manipulation, involving multiple unnamed contributors. Now, their debut offering is released under the German label EAL Productions.

“Der Märtyrer” is a heavy, aggressive work built around distortion, repetition, and noise-driven rhythms. The electronic elements often dominate the mix, with pounding pulses and warped samples colliding with hostile, buried vocals and mechanical percussion. It feels mechanical but also ritualistic. There’s little separation between industrial harshness and black metal atmosphere—they merge into one swirling, violent expression.

The structure of the album leans toward long-form tension. There’s repetition, but also constant changes in texture and layering. Static, noise, processed voices, and broken digital fragments appear throughout. Some moments are more rhythmically focused, with pounding sequences that lean toward techno or power noise, while others collapse into slow-moving chaos. Guitars are present but often reduced to feedback, drones, or heavily treated bursts of sound. Vocals are harsh, processed, and buried under multiple effects. Lyrical content is difficult to understand, likely by design.

The production feels dense and overwhelming. It blends into one engulfing wall of sound. The album feels physically heavy from its constant volume, saturation, and layering. Even though the album contains only four tracks, the listening experience is intense and not easy to digest at once coz industrial is quite far away from my musical tastes.

The result is an album that focuses on pressure, discomfort, and pushing limits—sonically and psychologically. It has more in common with ritual noise or violent electronic art than metal in the classic sense, though the spirit of black metal is present throughout. “Der Märtyrer” is a powerful and immersive debut and exists somewhere between industrial, black metal, and extreme electronic music without sitting comfortably in any of them.
