Defigurement | Endbryo | Nefarious Industries

Release Date: October 17th, 2025
Format: LP/CD/MC
Genre: Avant Grindcore, Experimental Death Metal
Country: USA

Defigurement is a band formed by veterans who have lived inside the extreme underground for decades. They come from bands like Fear Factory, Malignancy, Raven, Bad Acid Trip, Murder Construct, Rottenness and many others, and bring all that chaotic experience into one twisted body. Mike Heller handles the drum assault, Kevin Fetus drives the guitars, DMT bends bass and noise into strange shapes, and Matti Güey unloads his snarling vocal attacks. This squad was clearly created to push speed and violence into uncomfortable territory, and “Endbryo” is their first attempt to bottle that mindset.

“Endbryo” runs through sixteen eruptions that move with manic direction, sci fi panic and grind aggression. The band keeps the energy constantly boiling, guitars slicing through the mix while the rhythm section piles on pressure without pause. The album has a wild personality, almost like a living organism that mutates every few seconds, turning death metal, gore grind, tech chaos and sudden bursts of melody into one compact blast. The intensity remains high across the album, with vocals that jump between harsh roars and frantic shouts in a way that suits the frantic pace.

Guest appearances add extra sparks without turning the core sound into something unrecognizable. The extra guitars on several songs tilt things further toward a frantic sci fi death metal zone, while the additional vocal layers create moments of raw extremity that punch even harder. The mix by Rob Caldwell and mastering by Lasse Lammert give the album a rough, aggressive surface that supports the project’s violent character. Nothing here plays it safe, everything runs at full throttle.

“Endbryo” delivers what its lineup suggests, a collision of grind and death experimentation shaped with chaotic enthusiasm. It is an album for listeners who enjoy extreme metal at its most unhinged, where the fun comes from the sheer energy rather than any sense of comfort. Defigurement enters the scene with a debut that is wild, loud and proudly excessive, and that is exactly where its charm lies. Fans of the more deranged branches of grind and tech death will get a kick out of this feverish slab of metallic madness.

Score: 7.0

Czart | Czarty Polskie | code666

Release Date: 17 October 2025
Format: Digital / CD
Genre: Experimental Death Metal
Country: Poland

Czart is the creation of Michał Chrościelewski, an artist from northeastern Poland who blends heavy music with experimental visual storytelling. His debut album, “Czarty Polskie”, is a strange and fascinating descent into the folklore of Polish demonology, brought to life with guitars and algorithms. The project uses artificial intelligence not as a gimmick, but as a symbolic mirror of the “unnatural,” tying perfectly into the old Polish myth of devils shaping bodies from vapor.

The album’s concept is rooted in Julian Tuwim’s 1924 book “Czary I Czarty Polskie Oraz Wypisy Czarnoksięskie”. That literary connection gives the work a sense of historical weight and poetic eeriness. The lyrics, sung entirely in Polish, add a haunting layer of authenticity. They sound like fragments of ancient incantations carried through heavy distortion and primal rhythm.

Musically, “Czarty Polskie” is an intense hybrid. Death metal and sludge form its backbone, while hints of 70s psychedelic rock give it an unpredictable, almost dreamlike texture. The songs are short, raw, and packed with motion, often under three minutes, which keeps the experience brisk and feverish. “Ballada O Spalonych Kwiatach” and “Czarcia Kołysanka” are prime examples of how the project balances heaviness with eerie melody. “W Głębi Boru Ciemnego” feels like a night walk through a cursed forest, brief but unsettling.

There’s an occult aura in the entire album, an impression that every sound is part of some forbidden invocation. The AI-assisted production adds a surreal glaze to the sound, giving it an otherworldly shimmer that blurs the line between man and machine. “Czarty Polskie” is not an easy listen at all, its roughness and brevity work in its favor, creating a concentrated dose of chaos that’s authentic to its mythological subject.
