To The Max! |Two The Max! |Go Down Records

Release Date March 13th, 2026
Format Vinyl/Digital
Genre Heavy Rock, Action Rock, Occult Rock
Country Italy

To The Max! formed in Verona, bringing together musicians with diverse musical backgrounds. Alessandro Marchi on drums and vocals, Nicola Marchi on guitar and vocals, and Mattia Fraccaroli on bass and backing vocals grew up playing everything from thrash and black metal to sleaze rock. This shared history led them to collaborate during the 2020 lockdowns. They recorded a demo in 2021 and started ripping up stages across Europe, playing venues like Le Brin De Zinc and festivals like Rock Camp. Following their 2022 debut "Midnight Tea", the trio kept writing new material. Now they drop their sophomore studio album, "Two The Max!", via Go Down Records.

"Two The Max!" unleashes ten tracks of loud rock and roll. The Italian trio jams together a wild mix of action rock, heavy riffs, and a groovy funk undercurrent. This album punches through the speakers with a raw punk attitude. The guitars fuzz and roar, the bass drives fast, and the drums keep a frantic pace. The songs drop a dark edge mixed with serious energy, pumping pure adrenaline the whole way through.

The guys play fast and loose, keeping the momentum going. "Apple Bite" and "Sunday Nite" bring absolute street-level swagger. The vocals rip over heavy distortion, giving the music a crazy garage-party atmosphere. They play straightforward tracks, ignoring bloated song structures. The mix stays loud and proud, putting the rumbling bass right alongside the buzzing guitars. Some of the grooves run together, keeping the final tally away from the absolute highest tier. The riffs still smash through the speakers in a highly satisfying way.

To The Max! delivers a fun, riff-heavy experience. "Two The Max!" is an absolute blast to play loud for the weekend. The trio brings serious heat, mixing sleaze, punk, and metal into a cool concoction. Fans into fuzz pedals and fast tempos will seriously dig this release. The band delivers a damn good time.

Score: 7.5

Bila |Beżżalart |Go Down Records/Kewn Records

Release Date: December 5th, 2025
Format: LP
Genre: Hardcore Punk, Noise Rock, Post Punk
Country: Malta

Bila is a Maltese hardcore punk, noise rock trio active since 2014, known for short, aggressive songs delivered in Maltese and English. After a run of EPs, tours across Europe, the UK, and the US, and steady underground attention, the band arrives at its first full length with a clear idea of who they are and where they stand.

“Beżżalart” presents Bila in their rawest and most exposed form. The album channels urban pressure, political frustration, and dark humor into compact explosions of sound. The writing stays tight and confrontational, driven by shouted lines that stick quickly, especially when the band switches between languages. Maltese folklore and local realities shape the album’s identity, giving it a strong regional voice without needing explanation or decoration.

The production keeps everything harsh and physical. The sound favors abrasion over polish, with riffs and rhythms stacked in a way that presses forward constantly. The songs focus on impact and momentum, leaning on sharp changes and chant ready phrases. The album’s anger is often sharpened by sarcasm, which adds character and keeps the tension from flattening into one emotional note.

Across its runtime, “Beżżalart” stays consistent in tone and intent. The social themes are clear and repeated through different angles, especially around overdevelopment, political emptiness, and everyday suffocation. This approach makes the album easy to grasp and quick to absorb, even when the pace is relentless. At the same time, that consistency limits surprise, and some sections blur together after multiple listens.

“Beżżalart” works best as a snapshot of Bila at a specific moment, loud, frustrated, and rooted in their environment. It delivers energy and attitude in a straightforward way, leaving a solid impression without reaching beyond its own boundaries. As a debut album, it establishes presence and identity more than depth or range.

Score: 7.0

Malota | Scapegoat | Go Down Records

Release Date: October 10th, 2025
Format: Digital/CD/Vinyl
Genre: Sludge/Post-Metal
Country: Italy

Malota formed in Italy during the 2010s, blending heavy riffs with politically charged lyrics and raw emotional intensity. Their sound began with clear rock roots, but over time, the group evolved toward darker, more oppressive territories. “Scapegoat,” their second full-length release through Go Down Records, arrives four years after their last EP and presents a band fully immersed in despair and confrontation.

The album is built on slow, crushing rhythms and a heavy, metallic tone that dominates from start to finish. The guitars rumble with a thick, suffocating presence, while the vocals sound almost torn from the throat, packed with anguish and anger. “Scapegoat” abandons any trace of their earlier rock energy for something far more unforgiving, this is music that grinds and drags like a march through emotional wreckage.

Lyrically, Malota does not hide behind metaphor. Their words strike directly at political decay, human cruelty, and historical wounds. “Nermin,” for instance, recounts the horrors of Srebrenica in 1995, echoing one of Europe’s darkest postwar moments. The storytelling feels brutally honest, refusing to comfort or soften the truth. The band’s view of humanity is bleak but painfully grounded in reality, a reflection of a world that keeps repeating its mistakes.

Across “Scapegoat,” the tone remains oppressive but purposeful. The songs unfold with a steady sense of weight and atmosphere, occasionally lifting through sections of restrained melody that only deepen the surrounding heaviness. “...But Deliver Us From Pain” and “Until The Next Nuclear Holocaust” embody the album’s emotional and sonic extremes, combining fury, sorrow, and hopelessness in a seamless, punishing tide.

Malota’s shifts toward a darker metallic approach gives “Scapegoat” a sense of honesty and urgency. The production is raw and natural, leaving the rough edges intact. This is not music meant for comfort or escape, it’s confrontation through sound. “Scapegoat” stands as a heavy and thought-provoking release, drenched in human suffering and political awareness. It may not offer light or redemption but its sincerity and emotional gravity make it a worthy listen for those drawn to the darker side of metal’s emotional spectrum.

Mad Dogs | The Future Is Now | Go Down Records

Release Date: September 5th, 2025
Format: Translucent Orange LP, CD Jewel, Digital
Country: Italy

Mad Dogs is an Italian four-piece rock band formed around a devotion to high-energy rock ‘n’ roll. After a period of lineup changes, the band solidified its identity in 2016, steering toward the raw, loud edge of garage and action rock. Their first album, “Ass Shakin’ Dirty Rollers” (2017), was a blast of spontaneous rock power, recorded quickly to capture the fire of their live sound. By 2020’s “We Are Ready To Testify”, the band had matured, delivering a stronger, more focused set that carried elements of 60s and 70s rock without losing intensity. Over the years, they’ve toured extensively, weathered the pandemic era, and built a reputation as a fierce live act. Their discography also includes a contribution to the “Rollin’ With The Best” compilation (2022) and their 2023 7-inch “Solitary Walker’s Blues/A New Dawn”. Along the way, Mad Dogs has shared the stage with names like Jim Jones All Stars, Lords Of Altamont, Deniz Tek, The Morlocks, and many others. With their third studio album “The Future Is Now”, Mad Dogs returns on Go Down Records with their most explosive material to date.

“The Future Is Now” is a high-voltage rock’n’roll strike built on adrenaline, attitude, and a relentless drive. Across eleven tracks, Mad Dogs lock into the spirit of garage rock and proto-punk with searing riffs, driving basslines, and pounding drums that rarely let up. The production, handled by Daniel Grego together with the band, captures their sound with grit and immediacy, keeping things raw and powerful.

Frontman Marco Cipolletti delivers vocals that instantly recall Nicke Andersson of The Hellacopters – a gritty, high-energy performance that fits perfectly with the storm of guitars behind him. Alongside him, guitarist Luca Zenobi matches riff for riff, creating a wall of sound that’s furious and melodic. The rhythm section of Simone Mosciatti (bass) and Giacomo Zepponi (drums) provides the necessary punch, giving the songs a solid backbone that drives them forward at breakneck pace.

The album thrives on momentum, but there’s variety in the details. Tracks like “Stoker” and “No More Lies” are fleshed out with organ layers courtesy of Nicola Bagnoli and Steve Martini, adding a retro flair that balances the raw rock assault. Meanwhile, songs such as “Black Sheep” and “No Way To Come Back” lean straight into proto-punk fury, echoing Detroit grit and Australian wildness. The album’s closing cut, “Switch Up My Time,” pushes the energy until the very end, refusing to fade quietly. “The Future Is Now” is not about restraint. It’s a loud, wild, and energetic ride that cements Mad Dogs as one of the most dedicated carriers of raw rock ‘n’ roll energy in today’s underground scene.
