Alongside her stand guitarist Pierluigi Carocci, bassist Acey Guns and drummer Andrea De Carolis, a tight core that has grown album after album.

Their previous works, “Sacred/Scared” and “Dark Mother”, earned them a strong position in the European touring circuit where they shared stages with Dark Tranquillity, Vader, Infected Rain and more. Their new album “Ordhalia”, produced by Marco Mastrobuono and mastered by Jens Bogren, marks the next step in their evolution. Helix Noire | Becoming The Cure | Helix Noire/Self Release

Helix Noire emerged from Duisburg and Oldenburg, formed in 2025 by two seasoned musicians who clearly know the underground metal circuit: guitarist and bassist Kai Koslik and vocalist A.J. Brümmmer-Aschenbeck. Their shared history in Shockgnosis and By A Storm shows in the tight chemistry that powers this debut EP. Brümmmer-Aschenbeck’s name will already ring a bell for followers of Japanische Kampfhörspiele, and his instantly recognizable vocal intensity brings a sense of authenticity and purpose to this new venture.

“Becoming The Cure” introduces a sound that’s as industrial as it is brutal. The songs hit hard, driven by mechanical grooves and a dark electronic undercurrent that echoes Fear Factory’s cybernetic aggression and the rhythmic punishment of early Slipknot. The production by Tue Madsen (known for his work with Meshuggah and Heaven Shall Burn) gives the EP a sharp and modern edge. Drummer Norman Lonhard, formerly of Triptykon, adds surgical precision and weight to the rhythmic foundation, giving the songs their hammering pulse.

The title track opens with an immediate threat, locking into a heavy march that captures the industrial machinery Helix Noire seems to channel. “King Of The Unborn” and “The Rotten” continue in the same vein, both built on controlled chaos and mechanical pulse. The vocals range from tortured screams to guttural roars, perfectly fitting the bleak and apocalyptic vision that defines the band’s identity. “Schizophrenia Of The Righteous” twists between aggression and despair, before “Divine Providence” closes things on an oppressive, almost cinematic note, expanding the sound without losing intensity.

What Helix Noire offer here is a soundtrack to modern decay, the grinding metal equivalent of a city collapsing under its own steel and smoke.
