Mario operates
under the name Frostmorner. With Sicilian roots,
the musical and compositional journey began in 2019. Initially supported by
other musicians, the project eventually transitioned into a solo endeavor. The
music reflects the blackened atmospheric death metal genre.
Frostmorner unleashes
"Orbital Kaos" through Wormholedeath Records,
throwing down a massive collision of old school death metal and extreme modern
noise. Mario handles every single instrument and
delivers a completely vicious audio assault. You hear the rotting influence of
legendary acts like Nile, Hypocrisy, Belphegor,
and Death smashing into the chaotic modern
insanity of Lorna Shore and Rings Of Saturn. The mixture creates a totally brutal
environment full of blast beats and savage riffing.
Writing and recording entirely as a
solo unit requires serious musical insanity. Mario
executes the guitars, bass, drums, and synths with absolute precision. The
blackened death metal elements fuse with hyper-fast modern deathcore
technicality. "Kronvs" and "Demiurge" display furious
fretboard action alongside punishing drum programming. Sometimes combining so
many diverse extreme metal influences leads to complete sensory overload. The
absolute maximum speed and constant audio violence run the risk of blurring
together into one massive wall of noise, requiring repeated listens to untangle
the madness.
"Orbital Kaos" stands as a
highly destructive debut. Frostmorner paints a
terrifying vision of the cosmos through pure musical aggression. The extreme
metal fusion works heavily in favor of the release, generating intense
pit-worthy moments. Headbangers craving black, death, and extreme modern metal
should definitely expose themselves to this galactic devastation.
