Oak County started out
in Denmark, spending years grinding on the road and turning loud guitars into
serious momentum. The guys snagged major awards in their home country for their
past singles, proving they write huge, catchy riffs. Fast forward to 2026, and
they drop their fourth full-length, "Misprint". This album takes the
frustration of modern life and channels it into pure, heavy rock music.
This new album deals with the
gnawing idea of being completely out of place in a broken world. The guys wrote
these songs during some seriously dark personal times. Instead of whining, they
turned that negative energy into aggressive, melodic metal. "Kill The
Pain" kicks things off by staring down the violence and division happening
everywhere today. The guitars punch through the speakers, backed by a massive
chorus designed to get crowds moving.
"Misprint" delivers twelve
tracks of heavy aggression mixed with massive hooks. The band sounds incredibly
pissed off, taking their personal damage and turning it into a weapon. They
balance the anger with moments of total release, giving fans the heavy music
they crave. Black Oak County nailed the
execution here, delivering an album that totally rules.
Score: 8.0
