Unbounded Terror originated in Mallorca, Spain, back in 1991, unleashed upon the metal underground by Vicente Payá. They dropped "Nest Of Affliction" in 1992, ripping through the scene as Spain's earliest death metal export. Internal fractures tore the band apart by 1993, sending Payá into the death-doom trenches with Golgotha. Decades of silence followed until 2019, when Unbounded Terror resurrected with fresh blood and dropped "Faith In Chaos". They kept the engine running with "Infernal Judgment" in 2021 and "Echoes Of Despair" in 2022. Now aligned with Abstract Emotions, the band delivers "Through The Dark Desperation", digging up the graves of their chaotic early days before their next studio onslaught.

"Through The Dark Desperation" excavates the absolute filth of the tape-trading era. You get the savage cuts from the 1993 demo, throwing down vicious riffs and guttural barking. Tracks like "Tears Of Deception" and "Unchained Hate" rip straight through the speakers with pure, unfiltered aggression. The production on these early tapes captures the basement-level destruction of extreme metal in its infancy. The guitars tear away with a buzzing distortion, backed by drumming that bashes skulls without any studio manipulation getting in the way.

The compilation also drags the 1992 demo out of the dirt. "DreamLord" and "Dead (By Deceit)" emit the furious, barbaric energy Unbounded Terror possessed before their initial collapse.
