Love Your Witch grew out of Tel Aviv’s heavy
underground in 2018 and now operate from Berlin, dragging their stoner thrash
storm from one club to another. The trio, Mor Gal,
Michael Kozlovsky and Amit Abrahami, built their name with non stop
touring across Israel, five rounds through the EU and UK, and support slots for
Eyehategod and Acid
King. Eight releases in seven years is a wild streak, and “Radio
Fantasia”, shaped by engineer Chris Fielding,
continues that pace. The band mix 70s rock, grunge shadows, stoner muscle and
warm rock ballad elements, all delivered with the raw attitude that has kept
their shows unpredictable.
There is a
warm 70s glow behind the guitars, something that fits well with the heavier
stoner side the band has always carried, and when they jump into faster thrash
eruptions the shift works smoothly. The production keeps things raw, making the
riffs hit with grit while leaving enough air for the songs to sound like a real
band in a room. Solos wander in with a sense of freedom. Drums keep a solid
pace, and the bass moves with a rough edge that gives the album its ground.
Love Your Witch continues
their path with “Radio Fantasia”, an album shaped by instinct, grit and
imagination. It walks through different corners of heavy rock without losing
its character. Fans of stoner, grunge and old school metal will find a lot to
latch onto here. The album stands as another strong chapter for a band that
never slows down and keeps pushing forward with their own crooked smile.
