Formed in 2022, Ladon Heads are
part of the new wave of traditional heavy metal rising from the Portuguese
underground. The band quickly gained attention with their first demos, “Master
Of Sorcery” and “Blood Soaked Field”, two raw glimpses into their fiery vision
of epic metal. Those songs now return remastered, closing their debut album
“Steel For Fire”, released through Lost Realm
Records.
“Steel For Fire” plays like a
call back to the steel-hearted spirit of the 80s, somewhere between Omen’s heroic charge and Manilla
Road’s rough mysticism. The sound is primal and alive, built around
galloping riffs, piercing leads and a battle-ready atmosphere that doesn’t rely
on nostalgia. The production keeps things direct and earthy, giving every song
that underground sharpness many fans crave.
The inclusion of the two
remastered demos at the end ties the whole release back to where the band
began, reminding us that this isn’t a polished introduction but a continuation
of the spirit that fueled their first steps. Lex
Thunder’s production keeps the album grounded, giving it a rough charm
that fits the band’s aesthetic. “Steel For Fire” is not an album of innovation,
it’s an album of passion with powerful riffs, vivid imagination, and the thrill
of the fight. It’s an honest, spirited debut that promises more strength to
come from this young band.
