Assault Brigade is an international thrash metal
force born from the online community of the New Wave of Thrash Metal. The
project was initially imagined as a wide collaborative experiment, but it soon
focused into a three-man alliance of Salva
Campuzano from Spain, Robson Dionisio from
Brazil, and Helge Roe from Norway. What
started as an online exchange of riffs and ideas grew into a cohesive band that
gathered guest musicians from acts like Godless
Agenda, Warfect, Audrey Horne, and Tilintetgjort
to forge a debut that hits hard and without compromise.
“The Worst
Is Yet To Come” is a blunt and furious take on the darker side of human
existence. The album rushes forward with thrash intensity that recalls the late
80s and early 90s energy of bands that played with speed, spite and rawness. It
doesn’t hide behind concept or complexity, everything is upfront, aggressive,
and soaked in anger. The guitars attack with cutting precision, the bass keeps
things grounded, and the drumming drives every riff forward like a tank.
Vocally, Helge Roe delivers a venomous
performance, nailing themes of death, war, fanaticism, and decay that matches
the violence of the music.
“The Worst
Is Yet To Come” sounds fast, loud, and honest. There’s no pretense, no dressing
things up. It’s about riffs, rage, and reality. For a debut made across
continents by musicians working remotely, it captures the unity of purpose and
energy that keeps underground metal alive. A strong debut that delivers the
chaos and fury it promises. Straightforward thrash with bite, attitude and
substance, proof that global collaboration can still sound raw and real.
