Forged in the frozen heart of Finland, Wolfheart has become one of melodic death metal’s most compelling voices. 2025, Wolfheart returns with the “Draconian
Darkness II” EP. Across its five tracks, the band paints with a wide palette,
from their signature storm of melodic death metal to acoustic fragility and
orchestral grandeur.
On the
second half of the EP, Wolfheart reveals a
different face. “The Gale” is stripped down into an acoustic arrangement, its
melancholy shining through in simple textures and stark vocal delivery. The
closing “Grave,” re-imagined as an orchestral version, swells with cinematic
atmosphere, pulling the listener into a world of shadow and solemnity.
“Draconian
Darkness II” is not just a stopgap between albums, it is a portrait of Wolfheart’s full range. It shows their storm,
